A love letter to all independent filmmakers and arthouse cinemas in pandemic, Your Lovely Smile is director Lim Kah Wai's tribute or way of giving back to the art that brought him much joy. Following the screening, there will also be a post Q&A session with the director as part of the festival's special programme.

Booking: Screening & Q+A Session with Director, Lim Kah WaiAs part of the JFF 2023, JFKL is collaborating with the Faculty of Cinematic Arts, Multimedia University to co-organise a special screening of Wild Tour by MIYAKE Sho who is also the director of JFF 2023's Opening Film Small, Slow but Steady. JFF's another special guest LIM Kah Wai will also be present.
Born in Hokkaido, Japan in 1984. His debut feature film Playback (2012) screened in competition at Locarno while And Your Bird Can Sing (2018) was presented in the Berlinale Forum. His other major works as a director include the music documentary The Cockpit (2015) which was selected for the Cinéma du Réel film festival in Paris and the Netflix series JU-ON: Origins (2020). His latest film Small, Slow but Steady is the Opening Film of this year's Japanese Film Festival.
